Mistakenly marked as dubstep, I expected my dose of canonblade dubstep that I have yearned for long; was pretty disappointed to see a trap song. The song itself looks rushed and empty, saddening me even further. Cannot wait for a true canonblade song to be released.

canonblade responds:

Boi oh boi,
Rushed and empty? I've been working on this for the past month and I've gone through a lot with mixing and making it sound right to your ears.
It's not trap, it's way more melodic than trap.
As for the genre selection, I've stated a lot of times that I make anything that gets to my mind. I don't want to be considered as an artist that makes only a specific type of music.
Your rating, isn't really appealing to the track itself, it appeals to what you expected.

All the best,
Canonblade

I can GlOriOusly tell that you surely dO play with wOrds a Great lOt.

Onefin responds:

uh you're not doing it right though, you're just capitalizing Os and Gs. you have the sneak the phrase "On Go" into your speech :/

thanks for noticOnG otherwise, though! :)

Honestly disappointing, pretty slow and repetitive with little element variation

MafiaPineapple responds:

Haters gonna hate ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Reflexes are associated with brain activity. Faster tempi increase brain activity due to the higher frequency of the beat change, this requiring system 2 thinking enabled more actively. When used as a background for any other action, this affects the overall brain performance in the background, leading to inconsistency of performance between the start and the end of any action.

This piece is more appropriate for this kind of situation, as it's not too repetitive to bore the brain out, nor too complex to tire it. As a result, the brain is being affected in the background from a noticeable adjustment that doesn't require too many resources for processing. And that concludes us to the variance in reflex performance.

Also, nice track. Glad to see you alive, hope your research goes well.

Step responds:

Thanks for the insight! Our research results currently seem to show a definite decrease in reflex time for faster tempos.

And thanks for the review. I found it pretty tough to hit that balance between "not too intrusive" and "not too boring". As a musician I also tend to gravitate more towards catchy riffs and in-your-face-style music too so a lot of this song is me exercising as much restraint as I can!

Thanks again!

Your older songs were not as clean and variant, something that this song has. Really good job, I'd be interested to hear to the song you got inspired from, please consider uploading it too.

Geoplex responds:

Thank you! I'm considering uploading the orchestral part.

I have to be honest, I expected something more energetic you know. I still like your style which is never forgotten and never to be forgotten, which still makes this a good song.

Lockyn responds:

well, i'm glad you enjoyed regardless :) we'll see if it can be more energetic next time!

As already stated, I have to agree that adding more percussion and making it louder offers a lot in the epicness in the song.

Geoplex responds:

More big booms next time then :p

Reminds me of Yasuo. Other than that, great work!

Geoplex responds:

Thanks!

Truth be told, I'd expect something like that to eventually happen, glad to see the result, both great artists in that genre and style combined.

Onefin responds:

yeah i expected it too hi five for expected party

Bet you can't play this on your piano...

DivineHalcyon responds:

Most of Dimrain47's songs are not humanly possible to play with two hands.

I have a Newgrounds profile too.
